I've decided to write a blog, and here's why:
1) I'm sitting in a master's class by the name of "Quantitative Methods & Modelling" and after 6 weeks I still have no idea what it's about. In fact I just glanced up and heard the word "heteroskedastik" uttered and I laughed a little, because it's a funny word and I have no idea what it means. Moving on...
2) I am NOT raising a child, adopting a dog, attending Harvard, going through Julia Child's cookbook, losing weight, or teaching underpriveledged orphan children to read in a third world country. Not that I'm against these things. But that's not what the Lord wants for me right now, so this is a blog about nothing. Like Seinfeld Online. Wanna know what I did today? Brace yourself it's boring, here you go. Day in the life of an average person.
7:00am woke up, cursed the clock (I was supposed to start a new boot camp this morning at the gym at 6, so I missed that. And crap I fell asleep fiddling with my phone so it didn't get plugged in either, that'll be dead by noon)
7:55am leave house about 15 minutes late, but let's be honest I haven't seen 8am at the office in months. Oh yes I ate my eggs and a oatmeal bar on the way and left the radio off so I could converse with God on the way.
8:17am plopped in my chair, flipped on computer. It will take 10 minutes to boot so I'd better grab coffee because dang it the phone is already ringing. Yes! I got the last pour in the pot, and snuck out of the kitchen before anyone catches me NOT making a new pot. Back to my desk to enjoy my delicious cup and the morning WSJ.
9:00-1:45 Actually did some work, trading millions of dollars and stuff but mostly discussing the OU game with anyone and everyone who happens to wander by.
1:45-2:45pm Since I failed to awaken at a decent hour this morning I went back to my old apt to finish vacuuming, pick up stuff to go to Goodwill and check the mail. Great success. I even had time to wipe down the fridge and microwave.
2:45-4:00pm More work type things
4:40-5:30 Squeezed in a quick run at the gym in my new barefoot Vibram 5 fingers shoes. We'll discuss these in more detail later but for now just know that I was indeed running in them. Now I happened to bump into my darling 280 lb bohemoth of a trainer who seemed thrilled that I opted to stay in bed this morning. So, in an effort to improve my chances of getting up and going, I decided to rent a locker. LOCKER 93 in fact, with good intentions to put shampoo, hair dryer, etc. in it so I won't have to pack a bag each morning. This will work. This will work. This will work. Probably not.
6:00 - 9:40 Class at OU, obviously I'm getting a lot out of this. Can't say for sure what will happen next, but, you can bet it will include more really exciting things such as "clean the bathroom at my old apt" or "go to wal-mart"
See now? Wasn't that fun? It's just a day, business a usual. But sometimes funny stuff happens to me and I want to write it down, so I won't forget it. You can read it too if you want if you're bored and average like me. Or don't. I don't really care.
